Delhi High Court's vacation bench grants an exparte injunction against more than 100 broadcasters for giving live updates of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup. The whole of India is in a nailbiting situation while watching the match and wants its easy availability. With the advent of technology, most people prefer resorting to their phones to get the live updates of the Cricket matches.

The Petitioners, namely, CHANNEL 2 GROUP CORPORATION have submitted before the Hon'ble Delhi High Court that these broadcasters have been airing the live world cup without any license. The petitioners have the exclusive license to broadcast the world cup in India and the respondents in the matter, the alleged infringers have been broadcasting the same without any due license from the appropriate authority.
