SC observes Bail cannot be subject to payment beyond the financial capacity of the accused

The Hon'ble Supreme Court in M.D. Dhanapal v. State Rep. Inspector of Police (SLA (Crl.) No. 5195/2019) has held that a Bail cannot be dependent upon the payment beyond the financial capability of an individual while modifying a decision of the Hon'ble High Court at Madras. The Hon'ble High Court had granted bail to the accused subject to payment of Rs. 10 Lakhs to the victim's family.
